How to Spot Fake Pokémon Booster Boxes

pokemond

Sealed Pokémon TCG products are more popular than ever, and so are counterfeits. Whether you're opening packs or building a sealed collection, knowing what to check before you buy protects both your money and your collection. Here are the signs our team looks for.

Most modern English booster boxes come in tight, clean factory shrink wrap, often printed with a repeating Poké Ball logo. Loose, wrinkled or bubbly wrap, visible glue, or a missing logo pattern are common warning signs of a box that has been resealed.

Compare the price

If a booster box is far cheaper than everywhere else, ask why. Counterfeiters rely on "too good to be true" deals, especially for popular or out-of-print sets.

Check the pack count and weight

Each set has an official pack count per box. Boxes that feel unusually light, rattle, or contain packs with loose or uneven crimps should be treated with suspicion.

Buy from a trusted store

The simplest protection is buying from a seller who stands behind their products. At TCG Player Market every item is 100% authentic, factory-sealed and carefully packed, so you can collect with confidence.
